I started acting at the age of 3 in a production of A DOLLS HOUSE directed by my brother in law David Renoll. After I saw the audience, I had the itch to do more on stage and to annoy my parents as much as possible. I decided after hearing Donna Summers sing Mcarthurs park, I needed singing lessons. I already was in dancing lessons , but of course that was not enough for me…LOL I really had a passion for singing, I loved it.

My vocal coach decided I should consider auditioning in NYC for the broadway production of ANNIE. Big dream Right? Well, I was determined to play that role regardless of whether it was on broadway, tour or dinner theater. That was and is the best child role in musical theater, in my opinion to this day. After being called back several times and being the size for the role of molly, I was contacted by a NYC agency that started my career in TV. I did commercials and more commercials and more commercials. I then went on to do tons of theater and Playing the Role of ANNIE for several years all over the United States. I think my last performance playing the role I was already 13 years of age. And in between commercials and playing annie, I was always doing tv pilots and was in Joshua Logans production of MISS MOFFAT Starring the wonderful Ginger Rogers, the production set for broadway but mr. Logan fell ill before it could get there. He will always be greatly missed by me, he was a wonderful person.

I then was signed to Nickelodeon to host the equivalent of entertainment tonight for kids. The show was called RATED K. You probably are wondering, where did school fit in to all this…well, I was a horrible student but tried my best to keep up through tutoring, but it was a tough time always making up my tests and such. I did take time out from the business after I played JUNE in the national tour of GYPSY. I decided I wanted to be a cheerleader and I was for a year, but it definitely wasn’t for me.

I then was doing the high school thing and to make a long story short, I proceeded to get the role of Stephanie on ONE LIFE TO LIVE. Once I had completed my contract with them, I was requested back on the show by the fans…I was very shocked and very flattered, but one problem. I was already signed to do METRO on broadway at the MINSKOFF THEATER….hmmmm…. What to do………why not both. So that is exactly what I did. I shot the soap in the morning and did the show in the afternoon and again in the evening. After a brief run on broadway, I then was off to japan to star in the film for the Japanese expo. That was a lot of fun. When I completed filming I was really tired of everything and decided I needed a change, so went to LA…….what happened next??????????

I ended up back in NYC. I was cast as a rebellious teen named MAGGIE CORY on the daytime soap, ANOTHER WORLD. After almost three years of playing the role, I was worn out and wanted to just be away, but before I left the show I signed to do a demo deal with RCA Records, which I should have really finished, but sometimes we cannot explain the choices we make. I moved back to where my parents were and had a wonderful time learning to mow the yard and to cook….HEY I DIDN’T SAY I WAS GOOD AT EITHER! Anyway, after a lengthy hiatus, I’M BACK!!!!!

I have Just Completed a Feature Film plus its Sequal called "MY SOUL TO TAKE". Some of the films That are available on DVD now are: PROJECT 187, SLASHERS GONE WILD, DEAD CLOWNS, SEVERE INJURIES,ZOMBIEGEDDON, FINAL CURTAIN,ABSENCE OF LIGHT, AND BIG FEET. I have Just signed on to star in 6 more films, Some of which are comedies. I also am gearing up to shoot my own film...so watch out ;)

I have been truly blessed to be able to continue working consistantly, but still be able to come out and meat fans. I Love doing Appearances...when I can. The one thing I will never forget is my love for Horror and my love for singing. I was originally trained to be a singer, i just fell into the acting by accident, it is ironic that i am now more known for my acting. I Have a CD out now that I am very proud of. A goth rock opera, written by Matthew Jason Walsh called "LOVES YOUNG NIGHTMARE". You should definitely check it out, I think some of you might be surprised. anyways, thats enough about me, enjoy the site. If you want to get signed copies of my films or pictures, please email me. Thank you for reading my sort of bio,

Robyn Griggs

Just thought instead of a resume listing it would be more interesting to see it the way I remember it. All my credits I learned from and so to just list them in bulk would not be fair, it is much better to reminisce and live through them again….in my opinion. however, if you email me, I would be happy to send a full list of credits for tv, theater, commercials, and voiceovers.
